Duh

After months of puzzling over my erratic stats. I had an epiphany (I love that word). My stats jump whenever I post comments to someone else's blog. The more comments I post the more hits I get.

I could probably figure out which blogs generate the most hits if I tried. I'm just not that interested, although Saints comments seem to be part of it.

I'm pretty sure I'm the last person on the Internet to figure this out.

Welcome to the party, darlin'. Ain't it great???

Besides, it's half the fun. Maybe two-thirds. It's gets us up and out of the house, so to speak, meetin' folks and discussin' stuff. At the end of the day, there's a great big Google bomb, with a huge network of links to each other. We can drive that anywhere we want. Yeee Haaaa! It's a grand time to be alive!

You nailed me with that one! I used to surf a lot, and then I loaded up my favorites list and made regular visits to those, but nowadays I just don't seem to have the time. I am sometimes curious to see the blog of people who post, or, I realize I haven't visited a friend's blog in a while when I see that they have posted a comment to mine--and that's what brought me here today!

Congrats on the condo and furniture deals. No matter what happens to the house, I think that's a good investment.

Sorry to hear about the power outage. I'm guessing it's an internal wiring issue, because I've found Entergy to be very reliable and responsive in solving problems quickly. The FEMA contractor who is charged with upkeep of the trailer is not on Santa's good list this year.

Peace,

Tim

Oh, and you know what generates hits? I used the word "porn" in the title of a post once, and I got dozens of hits from people doing Google and Yahoo searches!

It's an amazing ability we humans have--to reduce every amazing invention and technological advantage to serve our base sexual urges.

Peace,

Tim
